Internet and World Wide Web

      Robert Khan invented the internet in the late 1960's and it was originally created for military purposes and now it is used for communication across the world. Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, invented the World Wide Web  in 1989.  The Web was originally created to meet the demand for automated information-sharing between scientists around the world. Now it is used as a tool for people to interact on the internet. The web and interent are different but work together, while the internet is the source of communication, the world wide web is a tool used for people to interact on the internet. The first website was created by Tim Berners- Lee in 1991, created to explain the world wide web. Yes its still up, the url is "http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html".
